What our coach saw in your written answers

Interview readiness Below average

"Tell us about a time you worked under pressure as part of a team."

Good situation and task: the panel can picture the shift. But the answer runs long before the action lands, and the result is one vague sentence. Tighten to four sentences: situation, your specific action, the measurable result, what you'd repeat. Panels score the R in STAR hardest.

What FireCoach would work on with you

Rehearse two interview prompts a day, out loud, two-minute cap.

Group assessment On track

"Your team disagrees on the priority order during a scenario task. What do you do?"

You defaulted to taking charge. Assessors mark collaborative behaviours (summarising others' views, proposing a decision rule, checking the quiet member's input) higher than decisiveness alone. Practise naming the process out loud before pushing your preference.

Run group-assessment scenarios. The structure is learnable.

WHY THIS REPORT WORKS

Every section exists to answer one question: what do I do next?

ONE SCORE

Weighted for your service, not generic

FRNSW weights PAT at 45% of the door; other services weight interview or aptitude harder. Your overall score uses your target service's real weighting, so a 64 for FRNSW means something different than a 64 for FENZ.

FIVE DOMAINS

A band and a next step on every domain

Physical (PAT), aptitude testing, interview, psychometric and group assessment: each gets an honest band and one concrete action. No "keep practising" filler.

SERVICE BARS

Your gap to a competitive applicant

We show the one or two biggest gaps between you and the bar a competitive applicant for your service typically reaches. Close those and you're in the mix; everything else is polish.

AI COACH FEEDBACK

Your written answers, actually graded

Interview and group answers get specific feedback: what the panel would score, what's missing, what to fix first. The same coach then trains you on it inside the app.

QUESTIONS

Sample report FAQ

Is this a real readiness report?

Yes: this page is a faithful replica of the results report FirePrep emails you after the readiness check, section for section. Only the numbers are a sample (a typical week-2 FRNSW applicant). Your report is built from your own answers, your target service's domain weighting, and its benchmark bars.

How long does the readiness check take?

About 15 minutes. It covers all five recruitment domains: physical (PAT), aptitude, interview, psychometric and group assessment. You see your results immediately, with this full report emailed to you.

Is the readiness check free?

Yes. The readiness check and this full report are free, with no card required. Paid access passes only come in if you want the ongoing training system, coaching and drills afterwards.

Which fire services is the report calibrated for?

All ten Australian and New Zealand services: FRNSW, FRV, CFA, QFD, SA MFS, DFES, TFS, ACT Fire & Rescue, NTFRS and FENZ. Domain weightings and benchmark bars change per service: a PAT-heavy service scores differently from an interview-heavy one.

What happens after I get my report?

Your dashboard turns the report into a starter plan, ordered by whatever moves your score fastest. It auto-adjusts as you train, and the AI coach uses your report to focus every session on your actual gaps.

Stop guessing where you stand.

Fifteen minutes, all five domains, calibrated to your target service. You'll walk out with this exact report, built from your answers, not a sample.
